Witzansky Appointed Public Works Director

Redondo Beach City Manager Bill Workman named Mike Witzansky as director of Public Works on Tuesday. Witzansky currently serves as  Recreation and Community Services director.

Workman also appointed Maggie Healy the acting director for Recreation and Community Services.

Witzansky has been in Recreation and Community Services since joining the city in 2006. He was instrumental in introducing Seaside Ice and the annual Seaside Lagoon Independence Day celebration at the popular saltwater swimming facility.

Healy has served in various positions at City Hall since 1982, including  administrative coordinator, management analyst, assistant to the city manager, and acting director for the Harbor, Transit and Business department.

"I have confidence in the skills of both individuals," Workman said.

Their appointments will become effective July 1.
