Over 1,000 Lose Power In Redondo Beach

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Two power outages in Redondo Beach affected 1,175 customers Tuesday morning, according to Southern California Edison.

One outage was reported at 7:03 a.m. in the area near Avenue A and Ynez Avenue and affected 319 customers according to SCE. Power was restored to customers experiencing this outage as of 9:00 a.m.

The other outage was reported shortly after at 7:09 a.m. in the area near Avenue E and South Catalina Avenue and affected 856 customers. SCE estimated that power would be restored to customers by 9:51 a.m. As of 11:30 a.m., the outage is not affecting any customers, according to SCE.

A field investigator was alerted of the outages and was en route to the area as of 8:28 a.m. The cause both of the outages are unknown at this time.
