Paraders Revel in St. Patrick's Tradition
Marching bands, cool cars, floats, crowds are all part of this Beach Cities tradition.
St. Patrick's Day is still three days away, but festivities were in full swing over the weekend as crowds gathered downtown to watch Hermosa Beach's annual parade. South Bay area marching bands, organizations and city officials—most decked in green—took part in the procession along Pier Avenue.
Movie icons also appeared at the event, including Darth Vader and his Star Wars brethren, Robocop, and a convoy of DeLorean DMC-12's, popularly referred to as the "Back to the Future" car.
