Son Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Father In Redondo Beach

The shooting was reported about 8:25 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Fisk Lane, Redondo Beach police Lt. Fabian Saucedo said.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – Authorities identified Tuesday the 19-year-old arrested in a fatal shooting of a Redondo Beach man over the weekend. The suspect has been identified as Vincent Finocchio, the victim's son, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department. On Sunday at approximately 9:02 p.m., shots fired were reported at a home located in the 2800 block of Fisk Lane in Redondo Beach. Frank Finocchio, 46, was found dead from a gunshot wound at the scene, police said.

A preliminary investigation determined that during a family dispute, the victim’s 19-year-old son armed himself with a weapon and shot the victim, RBPD said. The suspect was placed under arrest without incident, according to the press release. Investigators from the Redondo Beach Police Department, Los Angeles County Crime Lab, and the Los Angeles County Coroner responded to the location for further investigation.

Vincent Finocchio is being held pending charges for filing with the Los Angeles County District Attorney office with a two million dollar bail. He's due for arraignment May 30th at the South West Superior Court.
