RBPD Hosts Homeless Resource Conference

The free event is tonight, and will introduce community members and groups working to end homelessness.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – The Redondo Beach Police Department is hosting their first Homeless Resource Conference, a free event on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the Redondo Beach Public Library 303 N. Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 (2nd Floor). The event will be open to the public from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

RBPD's goal is to introduce political and community leaders to the frontline organizations, ministries and
volunteers who are working to end homelessness. City Managers, Council members and other public
officials are scheduled to attend and we encourage everyone with an interest in this area to do so as well, the press release said.

The event will have more than 30 homeless and mental health service providers including the following organizations, who will present seminars during the conference designed to enhance participant understanding about what service options are available:
  1. Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority
  2. Harbor Interfaith Services
  3. PATH Services
  4. Help Me Help You
  5. National Alliance on Mental Illness - South Bay
  6. Mental Health America of Los Angeles - Operation Healthy Homecoming
  7. Hathaway-Sycamores
