RBPD Needs Volunteer Advocates For Victims Of Domestic Violence
Would you like to be the voice for victims of domestic violence? Redondo Beach Police Department is in search of volunteers to do just that.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – Redondo Beach Police Department is accepting applications for volunteers to serve as domestic violence victim advocates now through September 15. Candidates that are interested in becoming an on-call volunteer victim advocate must be open and empathetic and commit to volunteer with the program for a minimum of 12 months. Other requirements include:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Complete 40 hours of in-house training (over the course of several weeks during the evening)
- Possess a car, valid California Driver License, and car insurance
- Volunteer to be on-call a minimum of four 12 hour shifts a month, including weekends and evenings
- Attend a minimum of 8 monthly training meetings per year
- Live within 10-15 minutes of Redondo Beach
- Participate in local community events
