Attention, gardening enthusiasts: the city has set a compost giveaway for Saturday in the parking lot of Wilderness Park on Camino Real.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — Attention, gardening and horticulture enthusiasts: the city has set a compost giveaway for Saturday in the parking lot of Wilderness Park on Camino Real.
The compost, which is being provided by waste collection and recycling company Athens Services, is a blend of organic material, including a mix of green waste, wood waste, and food scraps.
The giveaway is planned for 8 am to noon at the park, located at 1102 Camino Real, Redondo Beach.
Participants should bring proof of residency and sturdy containers of up to 32 pounds. The city also recommends wearing gloves and eye protection.
