Redondo Beach Crime Blotter: Doors Stolen From Home

REDONDO BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Redondo Beach Police Department crime blotter.

Street Robbery

• Jan. 13, 2023 – 9:11 p.m. to 9:31 p.m. – 500 block of South Juanita Avenue – According to RBPD, a male suspect contacted a female victim at her place of work and followed her home. Officers said the suspect, "made threats causing her to fear for her safety in this instance and on prior incidents. When victim called the PD, he snatched the phone causing injuries to her hand and face." The man was arrested, officials said.
• Jan. 13, 2023 - 3:38 p.m. to 4:09 p.m. - 200 block of North Pacific Coast Highway - RBPD officials said a man was attacked from behind while he was walking on the sidewalk. "They kicked, punched and dragged victim on the ground and then took his shoes," officers said. One suspect was arrested.

Residential Burglary

• Jan. 6-10, 2023 - 6 p.m to 8 a.m. - 2100 block of Curtis Avenue - A man is suspected of breaking into a locked residence in the 2100 block of Curtis Avenue and stealing multiple doors from the home such as two closet slider doors, a shower door and a bedroom door.

Burglary Vehicle

• Jan. 15, 2023 - 6 p.m. to 8:54 p.m. - 1800 block of Hawthorne Boulevard - According to police, a suspect attempted to enter a gray 2014 Hyundai Elantra but was unsuccessful.
• Jan. 13, 2023 - 5:30 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. - 1600 block of Aviation Boulevard - A lunch box was reportedly stolen from a black Hyundai Tucson after a suspect allegedly smashed the front passenger side window, RBPD officials said.
• Jan. 10, 2023 - 8:35 p.m. to 8:40 p.m. - 500 block of South Pacific Coast Highway - Apple air pods, an iPhone 13, a handbag and eyeglasses were reported stolen from a black Subaru Forester after a suspect allegedly smashed the front passenger side window according to RBPD.

Taken From Vehicle

• Jan. 15-16, 2023 - 6 p.m. to 8:54 p.m. - 2400 block of Carnegie Lane - A white 2014 Mercedes Benz ML350 with Apple AirPods pros and a credit card inside were reported stolen, RBPD said.
• Jan. 12-13, 2023 - 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. - Blossom Land/Curtis Avenue - Money, a diamond ring and cologne were reported stolen from a gray 2012 Acura TSX according to RBPD.
• Jan. 13, 2023 - 10:15 a.m. - 2100 block of Artesia Boulevard - cash was taken from an unlocked gray 2023 Hyundai Palisade RBPD said. According to officials, the suspect's vehicle was identified as a 2021 black Mazda Cx-9 with Colorado plates.

Stolen Vehicles

• Jan. 16, 2023 - 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - 2300 block of Hawthorne Boulevard - A navy blue 2013 Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen but was later recovered by the Gardena Police Department on Jan. 20, RBPD said.
• Jan. 15-16, 2023 - 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. - 2400 block of Carnegie Lane - A white 2014 Mercedes Benz ML350 was reported stolen.
• Jan. 11-13, 2023 - 5 p.m. to 6:33 a.m. - 100 block of South Francisca Avenue - A black 2009 Kia Rio was reported stolen.
• May 2022 - Jan. 13, 2023 - 12:06 p.m. - 1700 block of Aviation Boulevard - A black 2012 Honda Fit with a gray hood was reported stolen.
• Jan. 9-10, 2023 - 11:30 a.m. to 11:31 p.m. - 2300 block of Voorhees Avenue - A silver 2016 Hyundai Tucson was reported stolen but was later recovered by the Los Angeles Police Department on Jan. 14, RBPD said.
