REDONDO BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Redondo Beach Police Department crime blotter.
Commercial Burglary
- May 27, 2023 – 12 a.m. to 12:21 p.m. – 3700 block of Inglewood Avenue – Four 2x4x2 boards were reported stolen from a unit in a storage facility, RBPD said. Police said they found evidence that the lock was cut from the unit door. No information about the suspect was available.
Residential Burglary
- Nov. 24, 2022 to May 29, 2023 - 4 a.m. to 4:24 p.m. - 600 block of South Broadway - Shoes, nine pairs of pants, five hoodies, four long sleeve shirts and four Henley shirts were reported stolen from a home, authorities said. According to police, the suspect(s) got into the home on multiple dates by opening a small window on a door and unlocking it from the inside.
- May 25-26, 2023 - 5:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. - 200 block of Ruby Street - According to police, a suspect broke into a house that was under construction and stole various tools. RBPD said two Skil saws, two DeWalt sanders, a cutting tool, two leather tool bags with miscellaneous tools inside and three compressors. No information about the suspect was available.
Vehicle Burglary
- May 24-25, 2023 - 6:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. - 2600 block of Grant Avenue - Sunglasses, prescription eye glasses, vehicle registration and insurance documents, a camouflage hat, medical paperwork and a sweatshirt were reported stolen from a black 2003 jeep Cherokee, RBPD said.
- May 25, 2023 - 18:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. - 300 block of North Harbor Drive - Authorities reported that a Glock semi-automatic handgun, loaded 10-round Glock 22 magazines and a HV AC tool bag with a lock were stolen from a white 2019 Mercedes-Benz Glc. No information about the suspect was available.
- May 23-24, 2023 - 6 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - 2700 block of Nelson Avenue - A laptop, an Adidas duffle bag, clothing, glasses, chargers, a lunch cooler, a skateboard and miscellaneous power tools were reported stolen from a black Chevrolet Tahoe. Officers said the rear passenger window was partially open, which made it possible for the suspect to get in the car.

- May 28, 2023 - 8:23 p.m. - 1800 block of Perkins Lane - The rear license plate of a grey Tesla Model Y was reported stolen.
- May 24, 2023 - 1 a.m. to 11 a.m. - 1Artesia Boulevard and Clausen Lane - Various musical instruments and tools — including guitars, keyboards, cables and amplifiers — were reported stolen from a red 2013 Kia Rio, RBPD said.
- May 26 - June 1, 2023 - Redondo Beach - During the reporting period, officers said 10 catalytic converters were reported stolen from various locations throughout Redondo Beach.
Stolen Vehicles
- May 25-26, 2023 - 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. - Anita Street and North Maria Street - A silver 2022 Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen in Redondo beach. The trucks license plate is 57128K3.
