Redondo Beach Weekly Crime Report: Residential, Vehicular And Commercial Burglaries Reported
A handful of residential, business and vehicle burglaries were reported in Redondo Beach earlier this month, police say.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — A handful of residential, business and vehicle burglaries were reported in Redondo Beach earlier this month, police say.
During the week of March 13-19, three home burglaries, two vehicle burglaries, a business burglary, and a car theft were reported, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department.
In the commercial burglary case, a suspect entered an office break room at a business at the 1700 block of Via El Prado and took property while the business owner was occupied, police reported.

The suspect, who was identified as a black male, about five feet, nine inches tall with brown eyes and black hair, stole money, credit cards and an insurance card, according to police.
He is reportedly still at large.

In another case during the same week, a thief took a 15-inch screen Macbook Air laptop computer from a possibly unlocked silver Volvo, as well as a laptop bag.
Additionally, an iPad was reported stolen from an unlocked red 2015 Lexus sedan, along with a duffel bag and clothing.
In the strangest case of the week, a person broke a window to a side bedroom at a home, entered the residence and then turned on the stove, lit the burners, then left.
The suspect, described as a female adult Hispanic, was later arrested.
