Redondo Man Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Lyft While Drunk
The 27-year-old allegedly caused a disturbance in a Palm Springs restaurant after stealing the van.
REDONDO BEACH, CA – A Redondo Beach man was arrested after allegedly stealing a Lyft van while drunk in Palm Springs and then causing a disturbance at a nearby restaurant.
Officers were called to the 800 block of E. Tahquitz Canyon Way around 9:40 p.m. Saturday regarding a vehicle that had just been stolen, Palm Springs police told the Desert Sun. The victim was a driver for Lyft who reported his 2015 white Toyota Sienna had been stolen by an unknown person, authorities said in a press release.
Police were called a few minutes later by a restaurant employee who said a drunk man was causing a disturbance, the news website reported.

Cristian Zartamahecha, 27, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful taking of a vehicle and receiving a stolen vehicle, according to the Desert Sun.
