Redondo Union Senior Arrested on Suspicion of Selling Pot
The student is in police custody after officers received a call from the school principal's office.

A Redondo Union senior was arrested Friday morning on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, according to the Redondo Beach Police.
Jonathan Becdach, 18, was detained at the principal's office after the school discovered that he was allegedly selling the drug to other students on campus.
"We got a call from the principal's office," said Sgt. Peter Grimm. "He forthrightly told us what he was doing, he told us why he possessed it."
Grimm said he is not aware how many students were allegedly involved in the sale, but a small amount of marijuana was discovered.
Becdach, a Lomita resident, is in police custody at the Redondo Beach station. Possession of marijuana for sale is punishable by imprisonment for up to three years under the California Health and Safety Code.
