At-Risk 72-Year-Old Man With Memory Loss Goes Missing In South Bay

CARSON, CA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a 72-year-old man with memory loss who has been missing since Sunday night.

Richard Paul Del Real was last contacted at about 11 p.m. Sunday, when he said he was headed toward the Torrance area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Del Real’s white 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe was detected in Carson at about 10:23 p.m. Tuesday, officials said. The vehicle has California license plate 7CTU839.

Del Real is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and about 140 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans, white Reebok shoes and a knee brace.

Authorities said they are concerned for his well-being because he suffers from memory loss.
