 Redondo Union High School graduates have gone on to achieve remarkable things, as the recent death of former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, RUHS class of '42, reminds. With the new school year about to begin, we thought we'd test your knowledge of their accomplishments. This series will run throughout the week.

This RUHS grad went on to coach basketball for Kent State, the Sacramento Kings and the San Antonio Spurs.

Yesterday's notable alum: Iris Cummings Critchell, class of '37, swam in the '36 Olympics and was a member of the Women Air Service Pilots (WASP) during World War II. She developed the aeronautics program at Harvey Mudd College.
