Can you believe how HOT it was over the Labor Day Weekend?!? It registered 100 degrees at my house on Sunday (inside was a frigid 86). I don’t ever recall it being that hot at the coast… so we spent most of the weekend on the beach. The best part was how warm the water was – 74 degrees on Sunday. I don’t often swim in the ocean here – I’m originally an east coast water baby and prefer balmy seas – but September is always the best time to take a dip. Along with those warmer water temps, the social calendar heats up as well every September with numerous events and activities. What will you do this weekend?

Never heard of this before but it’s kinda cool…. Today, Thursday, September 7, 2017 the community of Lomita will experience an event that occurs only once a century – it is called Date Meets Zip. Does anyone know if other cities do this?
