The crime occurred about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 15000 block of Firmona Avenue, the sheriff's department reported. Robert Highhouse Jr., 40, died at a hospital, the coroner's office reported. Investigators believe Highhouse was shot by a man who fled in a red compact car.
