South Bay Man Pleads No Contest To Domestic Violence Murder
The man allegedly shot the mother of his child in the head during a domestic dispute at her grandfather's home, the prosecutor said.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A Redondo Beach man plead no contest Tuesday for killing the mother of their 9-month-old baby at a South Bay home three years ago, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.
Roy Peña Rodriguez Jr., 25, plead no contest to first-degree murder after admitting the allegations of acting "willfully, deliberately and with premeditation as well as using a gun in the killing," the press release said.
Rodriguez allegedly shot Paige Chiarello, 21, in the head on Aug. 12, 2015 during a domestic dispute at her grandfather's home, the prosecutor said. When the grandfather attempted to help his granddaughter and great-grandson who was in the same room, Rodriguez threatened him, the prosecutor added.
