South Bay Strip Mall Building Partially Collapses

CARSON, CA -- Part of a building collapsed at a strip mall Tuesday, but no injuries were reported.

Firefighters were sent to the 600 block of East University Drive at 1:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

No one was trapped inside and there were no immediate reports of any injuries, fire officials said.

It was unclear what caused the collapse.

The mall is near Cal State Dominguez Hills.
