If you like garden tours - this is a good one - and the host gardeners are interesting and full of information. If you are wondering what to do about your landscape/garden due to the drought - this is the tour for you. There is a pool turned into an underground water storage area. There is an array of aeroponic (air and water, no soil) vertical vegetable gardens, a floating vegetable garden in a koi pond, rain barrels, rain garden, ocean friendly garden ( designed to slow down the rain water - so it sinks into the ground, before it reaches the street), drip irrigation, Calif. native plants and a Health Garden, a permeable driveway (made of ground up tires - which allows water to seep into the ground - rather than into the street and then into the sewer and into the ocean) and a butterfly garden.
A great way to spend the day with family and friends and enjoying the creativity of gardeners and learning and sharing how to be better stewards of the land and the environment.
