TORRANCE, CA — A South Bay woman was brutally attacked and raped while walking her dogs in Torrance and is speaking out for the first time since the incident in late July.
Marissa Young was in a field with her dogs when she said she was tackled from behind, punched at least 15 to 20 times in the face and raped, she told KTLA.
“I didn’t have headphones in, I wasn’t looking at my phone, I was just walking straight forward to my destination,” Young said to KTLA reporters. "My nose is broken in four different places and this bone was shattered here [she points to her upper cheek area]. You can still see a lot of swelling in my face.”
