Student Authors, Poets to Read Works
This Wednesday evening, Parras Middle School students students will read their poems, novels and essays out loud.

Principal Lars Nygren holds his students in high regard, so much so that he expects America's next great poet—or screenwriter or novelist—may well be studying at right now.
And on Wednesday night, that talented person will come face to face with an audience.
Starting at 6 p.m., Parras Middle School will unveil "," showcasing more than 280 student manuscripts and poems. The event begins with a visual and performing arts celebration of the written word.

After that, parents, agents and celebrities are invited to visit classrooms and listen as middle school writers read and discuss their own words, both poetry and prose. Original stories and poems will also be on display at tables and booths in the school
"Voices of Transformation" is presented in collaboration with Los Angeles Music Center Education Division and is funded by the Redondo Beach Education Foundation.
