Surf Report: Conditions Fair, at Best

Low tide: 0.7 feet, 10:14 a.m. High tide: 4.8 feet, 5:10 p.m. Water temperature: 59-61 degrees.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report.

It's looking fair at best.  We're seeing a decrease in the energy, with an occasional fun-sized wave coming through.

The conditions are starting off fairly clean, with some texture on the water.  There's a mix of mostly fading southwesterly swell and some pretty small northwest energy in the background.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand with some fairly crumbly lines and a few workable corners.  Most spots in Redondo Beach are seeing knee- to waist-high waves, with those top combo breaks pulling a few plus sets.

Checking the tides—at 10:14 a.m., it drops to a 0.7-foot low, which will have some spots in need of water and inconsistent mid-to late morning.  The tide then climbs back up to a 4.8-foot high at 5:10 p.m.

If you're going to get in the water, a 3/2 mm full suit should do the job, with the water temp warming up a tad and hanging between 59 and 61 degrees.
