Surf Report: Decent Dose of Energy

High tide: 3.9 feet, 10:33 a.m. Low tide: 2.0 feet, 3:17 p.m. Water temperature: 65-67 degrees.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing a decent dose of energy, but those conditions are looking a little funky early on.

Many spots are already seeing some light texture on the water. Taking a look at the waves—there's mostly a fair amount of south-southwest swell and very little northwest windswell in the mix.

That recipe is providing this stretch of sand with some kind of crumbly  lines, with a few fun corners to grab. Most spots in Redondo Beach are seeing knee- to chest-high waves, with the top south-facing spots pulling a few bigger ones.

Checking the tide—at 10:33 a.m. it pushes up to a 3.9-foot high before dropping to a 2.0-foot low at 3:17 p.m.  If you're going to get wet, a short-sleeved wetsuit is ideal for that morning session, with the water temperature hanging between 65 and 67 degrees. Good luck out there.
