Surf Report: Doesn't Get Much Smaller

Low tide: 0.3 feet, 7:48 a.m. High tide: 4.7 feet, 2:37 p.m. Water temperature: 64-67 degrees.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, it doesn't get much smaller than this. Yep, unless you're a youngster, you're going to have a difficult time trying to ride this stuff!

The conditions are nice and clean from the start with a combination of some very minor northwest windswell and a tad of residual south-southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is providing this neck of the woods with some weak little lines, with not a lot to work with. Most spots in Redondo Beach are seeing ankle- to knee-high waves, with the focal points not seeing much more than that.

Taking a look at the tide—at 7:48 a.m., it drops to a 0.3-foot low which will have many spots drained out and lacking water early to mid-morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 4.7-foot high at 2:37 p.m.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on a spring suit with the water temperature averaging between a comfortable 64 and 67 degrees.  Good luck out there!
