Surf Report: Grab a Session

High tide: 3.8 feet, 9:55 a.m. Low tide: 2.1 feet, 2:31 p.m. Water temperature: 66-69 degrees.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, it looks like it's worth grabbing a session at some point during the day. Our latest dose of energy has dropped, but there's still a few fun ones along this stretch of sand.

The conditions are starting off clean and glassy early on. We have a combination of some easing southwest swell, some new south-southwest energy and very minor northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is providing some kinda crumbly, sectiony lines, with some fun shoulders to grab. Just about any board will work out there. Most spots in Redondo Beach are running about knee- to waist-high and higher, with the focal points pulling some stomach-high and higher waves.

Taking a look at the tide—at 9:55 a.m., it pushes up to a 3.8-foot high before dropping to a 2.1-foot low at 2:31 p.m. If you're planning on paddling, a spring suit will do you right with the water temperature averaging between 66 and 69 degrees. Have fun out there!
