Surf Report: Lacking Shape

High tide: 3.6 feet, 9:13 a.m.; 6.3 feet, 8:02 p.m. Low tide: 2.1 feet, 1:40 p.m. Water temperature: 66-68 degrees.

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, there's still a decent dose of energy out there. The only bummer? We're lacking a little in the shape department.

We're starting off with some clean and glassy conditions early on.  There's the continued mixture of mainly southwest swell, some smaller south-southwest energy and a little northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is providing this neck of the woods with some fast, semi-walled, dumpy lines, with some scattered shoulders to snag.  Most spots in Redondo Beach are running about knee- to chest-high, with the standout breaks pulling some larger sets.

Checking the tide—at 9:13 a.m., it climbs up to a 3.6-foot high before dropping to a 2.1-foot low at 1:40 p.m. It will push up again to a 6.3-foot high at 8:02 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, throw on no more than a short-sleeved full suit for at least that morning session, with the water temperature averaging between 66 and 68 degrees. Have fun out there!
