Good Monday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch Fourth of July surf report. Well, it's looking like a great day for the kids! It's looking pretty small and weak out there up and down the coast.
We're starting off with some nice and clean conditions early on. Taking a look at the waves, we have some mainly minor northwest windswell and a tad of south-southwest energy in the water.
That recipe is making for some fairly soft, sectiony lines, with a few workable shoulders on a small wave board. Most spots in Redondo Beach are seeing knee-high waves, with the focal points pulling some thigh-high waves, with maybe a few waist-high sets.

Taking a look at the tide—at 6:28 a.m., it drained out to a -0.5-foot low, which will have some spots needing water early to mid-morning. The tide will push back up to a 4.2-foot high at 1:05 p.m. before dropping again to a 2.0-foot low at 6:17 p.m.
If you're going to get wet, a short-sleeved full suit or even a spring suit will do the job with the water temperature averaging between 63 and 65 degrees. Good luck out there!
