Surf Report: Plenty of Playful Waves
High tide: 3.5 feet, 9:21 a.m. Low tide: 2.0 feet, 1:58 p.m. Water temperature: 59-61 degrees.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Memorial Day Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing a fun dose of energy out there, but unfortunately it's going to be much more crowded in the water because of the holiday!
We're starting off with some nice and clean conditions, with a combination of energy out there. We have mostly fading northwest windswell and some minor south-southwest energy in the mix.
That recipe is providing this stretch of sand with some racy, sectiony lines, with plenty of rippable corners. Most spots in Redondo Beach are running about waist- to chest-high and above, with the standout breaks pulling some shoulder-high sets.

Checking the tides—at 9:21 a.m. it pushes up to a 3.5-foot high before dropping to a 2-foot low at 1:58 p.m. If you're going to grab a session, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 mm fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 59 and 61 degrees. Have fun out there!
