Surf Report: Quiet Coast

Low tide: 0.8 feet, 8:34 a.m. High tide: 4.9 feet, 3:30 p.m. Water temperature: 65-67 degrees.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's way overdue for a jump start out there! We're seeing the same little waves along this stretch of sand.

The conditions are mostly clean early on, with a combination of some very small northwest windswell and some minimal south-southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is providing some fairly soft and weak lines, with a few scattered workable shoulders on a big board of some sort. Most Redondo Beach spots are pulling ankle- to knee-high waves, with the top combo breaks seeing maybe a higher set if you're lucky.

Taking a look at the tide—at 8:34 a.m. the tide drops to a 0.8-foot low, which will have many breaks lacking water mid-morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 4.9-foot high at 3:30 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, at least the water temperature is nice. You'll need no more than a spring suit with the water averaging between 65 and 67 degrees. Enjoy it!
