Surf Report: Small Mode Still Here

Low tide: 1.4 feet, 9:45 a.m. High tide: 4.4 feet, 4:55 p.m. Water temperature: 61-63 degrees.

Good Thursday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report.  Well, the surf is staying small, but we're actually seeing just a touch more energy in the water today.

We've got some nice and clean conditions early on, with mainly new southwesterly swell and just a smidgen of northwest windswell out there. That recipe is making for some crumbly semi-wally lines, with a few decent shoulders.

Most spots in Redondo Beach are seeing knee- to thigh-high and higher waves, with the standout spots that pick up the most southerly energy seeing waist-high waves, with an occasional bigger one.

Checking the tide—at 9:45 a.m. it drops to a 1.4-foot low, which will have many spots in need of water and shape mid-morning. Things should improve once the tide fills in; it will eventually push up to a 4.4-foot high at 4:55 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, throw on a thin full suit, with the water temperature averaging between 61 and 63 degrees. Have fun out there!
