Surf Report: Waves Back Down a Bit

Tide will rise to a 4-foot high at 5:10 p.m., and water temperature hovers at around 59 degrees.

Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Redondo Beach Patch surf report. Well, the surf has backed down a bit, but you can still find a few playful-sized waves coming through.

The good news: those conditions are much cleaner than yesterday. We're seeing a combination of mainly fading northwest windswell and some minor south-southwest energy in the water.

That recipe gives this stretch of sand some crumbly, broken-up lines, with a few fast sections to pick off. Most Redondo Beach spots are running about knee- to waist-high, with the top combo breaks pulling some stomach-high waves, with maybe a plus set.

At 9:59 a.m., the tide drops to a 0.2 low, which will have many beaches lacking water and behaving inconsistently side early- to mid-morning. The tide eventually climbs up to a 4-foot high at 5:10 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, a 3/2 fullsuit will do the job, with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 59 degrees. Have fun out there!
