TORRANCE, CA -- A suspected drunken driver was in custody Friday after he led Torrance police on a brief chase that ended in a crash, leaving another driver injured. The crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of 190th Street and Western Avenue, according to Torrance police Lt. Steve Danjou. While being chased the suspect ran a red light and crashed into another car, he said. TORRANCE, CA -- A suspected drunken driver was in custody Friday after he led Torrance police on a brief chase that ended in a crash, leaving another driver injured.

The crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of 190th Street and Western Avenue, according to Torrance police Lt. Steve Danjou. While being chased the suspect ran a red light and crashed into another car, he said. Both drivers were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, Danjou said.
