Thursday's Back to School Quiz: Guess the Grad

 Redondo Union High School graduates have gone on to achieve remarkable things, as the recent death of former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, RUHS class of '42, reminds. With the new school year about to begin, we thought we'd test your knowledge of their accomplishments. This series will run throughout the week.

This RUHS graduate became a cinematographer on many films, including one about a curmudgeon with a heart a few sizes too small.

Yesterday's notable alum: Nick Parras, class of '44. He spent his entire career in the Redondo Beach school district. Nick G. Parras Middle School, formerly Hillcrest Junior High, was renamed in his honor.
