Torrance Elementary Evacuated Over Possible Bomb Threat

Police searched the campus with assistance from sheriff's dogs trained to detect explosives and no bombs were found.

TORRANCE, CA --Police on Tuesday were searched the campus of Torrance Elementary School after a possible bomb threat was received, but no explosives were found.

Students and staffers were evacuated to the athletic field of the campus in the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue as a precaution late Tuesday morning, according to the Torrance Police Department.

Police searched the campus with assistance from sheriff's dogs trained to detect explosives, and the all-clear was given shortly after noon, said Torrance police Sgt. Ronald Harris.
