Torrance Man Missing After Colorado River Boating Trip
According to officials, Jones was on a duck hunt in the area. His boat found abandoned off the Colorado River.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A Torrance man went missing while on a boating trip in Riverside County this weekend, and Sheriff's deputies Tuesday are seeking the public's help in finding him. His boat found abandoned off the Colorado River.
Robert Jones, 61, last was seen Sunday in a boat on the Colorado River about 17 miles north of unincorporated Blythe, said sheriff's Captain David Teets.
According to the captain, Jones was on a duck hunt in the area.

His boat was later found "beached and abandoned on a sandbar," Teets said, and "extensive searches" have since been conducted by the sheriff's department, as well as Blythe Search and Rescue, without success.
Jones was described as white, 6-foot-2, weighting 180 pounds with gray hair, brown eyes and a mustache. He was last seen wearing camouflage clothing and hip waders.

Anyone with information on Jones' disappearance was asked to call the sheriff's Colorado River station at (760) 921-7900.
