There are some unexpected delights lurking at Chez Melange, and they're not in the dining room.

's big secret these days is , a new tapas bar hidden away in the back of the restaurant. Ask the hostess to guide you—no password required.
There, you can sample Chef Diane Scalia's ever-evolving menu of small dishes, like the Green Gazpacho that is never quite the same twice, or Moroccan Meatballs with yogurt dip, or the fingerling Patatas Bravura cooked in duck fat.
The salamis and hams are a special treat. Who knew there were so many? The plate of meats includes Sobrasada from Majorca, Serrana Ham, Chorizo Leon flavored with smoked paprika, and more. Chef Di's suggestion: try each with a bite of tapenade. Olives bring out the bite and tang of all the different meats.
