Waste Management and the City of Manhattan Beach to Host "2016 Earth Day EWaste Collection and Shred Event"

Event to Make it Easy for Residents and Businesses to Recycle and Dispose of EWaste and Confidential Documents.

WHAT: In an effort to facilitate responsible disposal of electronic waste, Waste Management and the City of Manhattan Beach will be hosting the 2016 Earth Day EWaste Collection and Shred Event. The event will provide City of Manhattan Beach residents and surrounding areas with the opportunity to easily dispose of EWaste items in an environmentally safe manner and safely shred and dispose of confidential documents.

WHO: This event is open to City of Manhattan Beach residents, businesses and the surrounding areas of Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance etc.

WHEN: April 30, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Manhattan Beach Middle School (Parking Lot)

1501 N. Redondo Avenue

Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

WHY: By properly disposing of items, residents and businesses can help keep protect the environment by keeping those items away from the waste stream.

HOW: Residents and businesses can bring any of the approved items to the drop off location.

Document Shredding

  • On-site shredding services are provided FREE to MB residents and businesses for the first three boxes and $5.00 for each additional box (10x12x15). $5 per box for non MB residents. Documents will be shredded on-site on a first come, first served basis. A second truck will be available the entire event (11am-4pm) to collect documents for secure off-site shredding.
