Address the skills needed for successful handwriting at Write Ideas Camp. Learn how to make a friend and be a friend at Buddy Boot Camp. Enjoy an innovative day camp for children with developmental concerns at Camp Escapades presented by Honda.

Write Ideas is a small play-based group designed to address the foundational skills needed for successful handwriting through fun games and activities! Camp groups for children ages 6 to 10 are led by a licensed occupational therapist. Write Ideas Camp is appropriate for children who may have difficulty with: mature pencil grip, in-hand manipulation skills, hand fatigue, formation of letters and numbers, spacing between letters and words, lining up of numbers, writing on the line and sizing of letters, core stability for good posture, and attention span during table top activities. Activities include: Sensory Activities, Crafts, Fine Motor Games, Handwriting Lab and Physical Activities. Write Ideas takes place from July 11 - 22, 2016 from 9am - 12pm at Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance. The cost is $375 per weekly session.

Buddy Boot Camp is a small play-based camp designed to address the skills needed for successful and appropriate social interactions through creative games and activities! Camp groups for children ages 4 to 12 are led by a licensed occupational therapist. Buddy Boot Camp is appropriate for children who may have difficulty with: developing and maintaining friendships, picking up on social cues, self-esteem building, conflict resolution, personal space, body talk, feelings, being a good sport, bullying and self-regulation. Activities include: Fun-Filled Games, Crafts, Social Activities, and Daily Social Skills Curriculum. Buddy Boot Camp takes place from July 11 - 22, 2016 from 9am - 12pm at Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance. The cost is $375 per weekly session.

Camp Escapades presented by Honda is an innovative summer day camp for children with developmental concerns. Our highly trained multidisciplinary camp teams includes three licensed occupational therapists who oversee programming, staff and volunteers. Occupational, physical and speech therapists consult with every group while all groups are staffed with paraprofessional educators and one-on-one teen volunteers who act as camper “buddies” throughout the week. Camp activities take place in a safe encouraging environment and are geared and adapted so that every camper can have fun regardless of their age or ability. Activities include: Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Dance, Sports, Music, Games, Yoga, Sensory Experiences and Special Events. Camp Escapades presented by Honda takes place from August 8 - 19 from 9:30am - 3:30pm at Rolling Hills Country Day School in Rolling Hills Estates. The cost is $400 per week if you register before June 14, 2016; as of June 15th the weekly rate is $550.
