YOGA ON THE PIER: POSE FOR A PURPOSE
Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach will present Free Yoga on the Pier through the Month of September. Donations will be accepted.
Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach (CSC-RB) will team up with the City of Redondo Beach, Redondo Beach Pier Association and Spectrum Athletic Clubs to present free Youga classes on the Redondo beach Pier every Thursday beginning Sept. 4 through Sept. 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. In lieu of a class fee, donations will be accepted to benefit free cancer support programs offered by CSC-RB.
“We want to support the important free services that CSC-RB provides to local cancer patients and their families, and we welcome and encourage residents and visitors to the South Bay to enjoy the large open community space that Redondo Beach Pier offers,” said Steve Aspel, Mayor of Redondo Beach.
The public is encouraged to invite a friend and join the fun to down dog, down shift and donate all in the name of CSC-RB’s mission of support, education and hope for cancer patients and their families. Classes will be led by instructors from Spectrum Athletic Clubs. All levels from beginner to yoga aficionados are welcome. Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel and water.
