• 2.2 magnitude earthquake struck near Redwood Valley, CA on Sept. 29 (sacbee.com) — A small 2.2 magnitude earthquake struck about four miles north of Redwood Valley on Tuesday afternoon, but quakes of this size are rarely damaging. Officials are encouraging residents who felt the shaking to file a USGS "Felt Report" and review basic earthquake safety steps like drop, cover, and hold on to stay prepared for future tremors.
