$20K Reward Offered In Fatal Peninsula Shooting Probe

Two people were killed and two others suffered life-threatening injuries in the the Oct. 14 shooting according to police.

EAST PALO ALTO, CA – A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a wanted homicide suspect, the East Palo Alto Police Department said.

Julian Rico Santana is wanted as the suspect in the shooting of four people, two fatally, amid a dispute at a private adult Halloween party in the early in the morning hours of Oct. 14, police said.

The party was held outside the rear of a business complex in the 2500 block of Pulgas Avenue according to police.

Police were notified by a ShotSpotter activation at about 2:45 a.m., followed by calls to 911.

The Menlo Park Fire Protection District and ambulance crews treated the four people found with gunshot wounds, but two were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. They were identified as Eduardo Alvarado Sandoval, a 22-year-old Stockton man, and Mario Andres Vidalesmendez, a 23-year-old East Palo Alto resident.

The other two victims were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Police said Santana fled the scene and remains at large.
