8 Reasons to go see RED 2 (or not)

1. You liked RED, the story of old Bruce Willis and his colorful band of retired assassins gleefully murdering the hell out of members of an evil government conspiracy.   

2. You don’t mind seeing every plot point from the first film reused in the sequel. 

3. You love Helen Mirren and John Malkovich, you treasure the opportunity to see these great character actors having fun killing people and blowing things up, and you would like two more hours of that. 

4. You have an Anthony Hopkins drinking game, involving Anthony Hopkins clichés, and are seeking to get heartily buzzed.

5. You understand that sometimes action and humor have to sacrificed in an action-comedy for the sake of an overly-convoluted plot.

6.  You were annoyed by how well-rounded the cast of RED was, and are grateful that the sequel addresses this by removing academy award winner Morgan Freemen.

7. You want to see the brilliantly funny (and hot) Marie-Louise Parker steal scene after scene as Bruce Willis’ danger-obsessed girlfriend.

8. You don’t think it is ironic that a film franchise about aging super-killers already feels this worn out.
