SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — The Stanford Blood Center has announced an exciting new incentive for blood donors this May, offering two free tickets to a San Jose Earthquakes game for everyone who rolls up a sleeve this May.
This initiative comes amid an immediate need for all blood types, particularly type O+, to ensure adequate supplies for local patients.
In addition to the guaranteed Earthquakes tickets, donors will be automatically entered into a high-stakes drawing for a VIP Global Games experience. Two lucky winners will receive four VIP tickets to prestigious matches in June, featuring premium sideline seating and luxury amenities such as chef-curated dining and sommelier-guided beverage services throughout the match.
Donations can be made at any of the SBC permanent centers located in Menlo Park, Mountain View, Campbell, and Dublin, or at any of their various mobile blood drives throughout the region. While walk-ins are welcome, SBC encourages donors to schedule appointments in advance through their website at stanfordbloodcenter.org, via the SBC mobile app, or by calling 888-723-7831.
Potential donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent, and in good general health, free of cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms. Participants are advised to eat a healthy meal and stay well-hydrated before their appointment, and must bring a photo ID for registration.
