Police said the stop resulted in the seizure of around 20 pounds of suspected methamphetamine.

Police identified the suspects in the car as 52-year-old Redwood City resident Susano RomeroAguirre, 52, of Redwood City, and Huber CarilloOrtiz, 41, of Oakland.

Later that evening, detectives said they executed a search warrant at a home on the 100 block of Broadway in Redwood City, where they seized an additional 3 pounds of methamphetamine, police said.

RomeroAguirre and CarilloOrtiz were booked into the San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of methamphetamine and conspiracy to commit a felony, police said.

During the investigation, police said an unrelated driver in a white truck backed into a parked law enforcement vehicle and fled the scene.

The driver, identified as a 37-year-old Redwood City woman, was later located on the 700 block of Barron Avenue after driving recklessly and hiding inside a mobile trailer, police said.

She was cited and released on suspicion of hit-and-run and reckless driving. Two other individuals were also cited and released for obstructing officers conducting the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCPD's non-emergency line at 650-780-7100.

RCPD were assisted by the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force, Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team and the Drug Enforcement Administration's San Jose Regional Office.
