Missing an ATM? Well, someone is.
Police responded to a call concerning an ATM found in someone’s backyard on the 200 block of Madison Avenue in Redwood City, California on Friday, according to the department’s daily activity log.
It appeared to be an older ATM model, but there was no information of who owned it or where it was from. It was found by the owner of a rental property and appeared weathered.

“We don’t know if it was there the whole time, but it had been out for some time,” Redwood City Police Lt. Sean Hart said.
No money was found in the ATM, Hart said, and it didn’t appear to be from a bank. Police are currently going back through records to see if they can track where exactly it had been stolen.

“It was one of those free-standing ATMs,” Hart said. “One of the ones you can buy for your local business.”
No one has been taken into custody, and it is still an ongoing investigation, Hart said.
