Kick off September with a day of free discovery at the San Mateo County History Museum! Thanks to the generosity of sponsor Monterra Credit Union, admission is free all day long - and there are two special programs to enjoy at no cost.
11 am - Preschool Story & Craft: Busy Boats
Little ones are invited to set sail on a morning of maritime fun! Preschoolers will build their very own hot dog tray boats, then gather with Museum staff in the Ships of the World Gallery for a read-aloud of Busy Boats. A perfect first adventure into history for your youngest explorer.
2 pm - Docent-Led Tours for Adults
Curious grown-ups can join a free guided tour led by one of the Museum's knowledgeable docents. Explore the rich stories of the Peninsula - from the Ohlone people to the innovators of today - all within the beautifully restored 116-year-old "Old Courthouse."
Whether you're bringing the kids or coming on your own, FREE First Fridays is the perfect excuse to explore local history together.
