Rep. Eshoo Self-Quarantining After Staffer Tests For Coronavirus
The 78-year old said she is not experiencing symptoms but is self-quarantining in accordance with CDC guidelines.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Rep. Anna Eshoo D-Palo Alto announced early Friday that she is self-quarantining after one of her staffers tested positive for COVID-19.
The 78-year old said she is not experiencing symptoms.

“I will continue to work from my home in Washington, D.C., and my staff and I will be available to constituents to assist them virtually during these difficult times,” Eshoo said in a statement.
Eshoo represents parts of Santa Clara and San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties.

She represents nine cities or towns in San Mateo County including Redwood City, Menlo Park, and Atherton.
She has served in Congress since 1992.
In 2019 Eshoo was elected by her congressional colleagues as the first woman ever to serve as Chair of the Health Subcommittee. She has served on the House Energy and Commerce Committee since 1995.
Eshoo helped draft portions of the Affordable Care Act.
