Death Near Redwood City Probed

NORTH FAIR OAKS, CA – Authorities are investigating the death of a 55-year-old man whose body was found at a commercial building where chemicals are housed, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

The man’s body was found Nov. 17 at 7:35 a.m. at a building in 800 block of Hurlingame Ave. in an industrial area in unincorporated North Fair Oaks, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Redwood City Fire Department Haz-Mat team members determined that the chemicals are contained within the building and are not a threat to the public, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The man's name has not yet been released.
