Elementary School Speech and Debate Summer Camps

Young Genius, Speech and Debate Academy's weekly Congressional Debate and Speech camps focus on developing in children such skills as persuasive speaking, active listening, critical thinking, accurate and extensive note taking and cross examination skills, all of which are integral to the course.

Also the instructors in these camps will cover interpretation, memorization and presenting a previously published piece of work, as well as Original Oratory, where a student works to compose an original piece and present it. The instructor will evaluate the strengths of each individual student and pick a format that best suits that student.
