Free First Friday Program Continues

Not only is admission free the entire day (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), but two programs are planned for the public without any fees.  At 11:00 a.m., preschool children will be invited to learn about trains.  They will make their own conductors hats.  The Museum staff will conduct a special program in the newly refurbished Journey to Work exhibit gallery, which features displays about the early railroads on the Peninsula.  Here the youngsters will hear the story, Timmy and Tammy’s Train of Thought.  At 2 p.m., museum docents will lead tours of the Museum for adults.  The San Mateo County History Museum is situated within the Old Courthouse at 2200 Broadway in Redwood City.  The Museum is open every day except Monday.  The “Free First Friday” program is sponsored by AT&T and Safeway.
